Andalusia Day
Andalusia Day on 28 February commemorates the 1980 autonomy referendum and Andalusia’s path to full self-government.

It is the civic holiday of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, celebrating popular support for autonomy and shared regional symbols.
Origin and history
After mass pro-autonomy mobilisation in 1977–79, Andalusians voted on 28 February 1980 for the Article 151 route; the Statute followed, with a major reform in 2007.
How it is observed in Spain
The Junta holds institutional ceremonies and awards; the day is a regional public holiday with flags and local cultural events.
